What does jazz feel like?

The feel.jazz festival is a passion project sponsored by JazzHaus e.V. Hamburg, which we have been organising largely on a voluntary basis since 2016. It usually takes place once a year on two evenings in February at the Hafenklang in Hamburg.

We have made it our mission to make jazz an experience for all the senses. How do we do that? By adding a visual dimension to the musical level with live projections and mappings or interactive performances.

Sounds are interpreted materially or in colour in live paintings or live visuals. In interactive sound installations, your touch creates sounds that speak the language of jazz.

In our booking you will find both classic jazz and live techno with jazz influences. We try to provide a stage for the young Hamburg jazz scene, but we also occasionally look beyond the Elbe for sounds that get us off the bar stool and straight onto the dance floor.
